(2)Before replacing the new oil seal, you can focus on checking whether the oil cylinder has scratches, scratches, etc., if there are, you must deal with it in time, because even a new oil seal will increase wear and tear, and the oil seal will naturally take a long time. Will be damaged.

(3)Excessive hydraulic system pressure can also cause oil seal deformation. It is necessary to keep the hydraulic system pressure not exceeding the limit of the oil seal, otherwise the oil seal will be deformed or even be impacted into several segments.

(4)The presence of debris, impurities, dust, particles, etc. in the hydraulic oil will also cause the oil seal to wear and must be replaced until it is completely scrapped.

(5)High hydraulic oil temperature will accelerate oil seal aging.Note that the oil seals of the excavator and rock breaker are exposed to high temperatures for a long time, which will cause the oil seals to age quickly, and the lip parts will be exposed to high temperatures for a long time, which will shorten the service life and cause oil leakage. It is best to change the main oil seal every 400-500 hours.

(6)Due to the material and manufacturing problems of the oil seal spring, its performance is invalid. The spring failure forms are: the spring is too tight or too loose. When the spring is too loose, the spring compression force is small and the sealing effect is not achieved. When the spring is too tight, the spring compression force is large, and the oil seal and the rotating shaft are improperly matched, resulting in abnormal wear of the oil seal. An oil leak has occurred.

(7)The price is too cheap and the quality cannot be guaranteed. Under normal circumstances, the oil seal is extremely easy to break. It is necessary to purchase and install genuine oil seals for a long time.

3.if you want to get a good sealing performance and a long service life, you must pay attention to the storage and installation of the oil seal.

(1)The oil seals should be kept in a dry and clean environment. The oil seals must be packed and placed neatly and should not be stacked randomly. Do not use threads or ropes together to avoid damage to the oil seal lip part and affect the service life.

 In addition, the improper installation method causes damage to the oil seal lip, which affects the sealing effect and easily affects the service life of the oil seal and causes problems such as failure and leakage.

Carefully check the appearance of the oil seal cylinder for dust and impurities.

Apply clean grease on the sealing flange to facilitate installation and prevent the lip from being scratched during installation. The oil seal as a dustproof function should be filled with grease

In order to facilitate the installation of the oil seal so that the lip is not damaged, the edge of the shaft shoulder should be rounded or chamfered. When the oil seal is installed along the shaft, the shaft should be slightly rotated to facilitate the installation operation.

When pressing the oil seal into the hole seat, the diameter of the axial press tool should be even and stable. The diameter of the tool should be smaller than that of the oil seal. The oil seal should not be installed in the hole seat at an angle.

The installation of the oil seal should not be interrupted for a long time to prevent the weight of the shaft from deforming the oil seal and causing damage to the lip.
